The STORM rain gauge, is a specialised device designed for the precise measurement of rainfall. It has proven to be an indispensable tool during periods of intense rainfall. Its ability to accurately record the amount and intensity of rainfall enables a better understanding of atmospheric phenomena and allows for effective monitoring of potential impacts, such as the risk of flooding. An interesting element of this measurement is the presence of a summator of measurements, which has proven to be reliable even under difficult conditions. The summator system allows the total rainfall of up to 250 mm (250 l/m2) to be recorded. The results of the measurement of the two-day rainfall of the Opole Voivodeship provide valuable information on the weather dynamics in the region. The data obtained from the STORM rain gauge and the summator will be used for further research into rainfall and the potential effects on infrastructure and the environment.
